Was pondering about my dreams, goals and aspirations since young.
When I was in pre-school, I wanna be an astronaut. I thought that in secondary school, there will be such subject that would be taught in school.
When I was in pri school, I wanted to be a teacher. I played 'teacher and students' with my sisters. And I will always prepare my stuffs to teach my sisters. Haha
When I was in lower secondary school, I realized I love biology alot and told myself I want to be a doctor. Study medicine and be a good female gynae. Haha! Or a children doctor.
When I was in upper secondary school, I gave up on biology to study geography because I love nature and how earth is being formed. Haha! I can do all the plate tectonics questions! I did a project on marine biology. And was inspired to be a marine biologist. Haha! But I'm scared of swimming in the sea!
Upon graduation, I wanted to sign on. Haha! Yeah u never read wrongly. I wanted to join the army! But yeah, everyone dissuaded me.
When I was in polytechnic, I studied env and water tech. And felt that I wanna be in this industry. Solving and finding water solutions in less developed countries. I want to work in hyflux and hope I can be like Olivia Lum. Haha
Again upon graduation, the thought of signing on came up again. I checked out all the SAF website. Even applied for DSTA scholarship! But again, I did not. A career I wanted. So Near yet so far.
Girls should always be independent. And I also want to be a career minded woman.
Now I'm gg to year three of uni. But sadly, I no longer know what I want in life. Hahaha. Sad isn't it? All those things I want seem so far away now.
